Enter the Yorkshire Dales National Park through virtual reality. A Journey to Victoria Cave is the first Google Expedition in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Your guide is Tom Lord an archelogist and farmer from the Dales. He'll take you on a journey from the historic market town of Settle, over an ancient track onto the high limestone hills with panoramic views of the valley below. Then you'll pass spectacular limstone cliffs before reaching the mouth of Victoria Cave.
Step inside Victoria Cave and Tom will tell you the stories of when the Victorians discovered it and opened it up. Tom will offer you a fascinating insight into why the cave is a unique time capsule for understanding the Ice Age in the Yorkshire Dales and the amazing animals that lived there.
