Food & Drink

Tickle your taste buds and wet your whistle on your visit

Whether it’s traditional Yorkshire tea rooms for a homemade scone and cuppa you’re after or a contemporary coffee shop for smashed avocado on rye – Settle has it all.

There is an astonishing range of cafes to try out and plenty of restaurants to sort your evening meal. Wet your whistle in one of the many historical inns offering locally brewed ales and impressive menus. Or stroll across the square for a trendy G&T or cocktail.

Our staff love nipping to the market place for a morning coffee or treating ourselves to an after-work wine and meal. Take a look at our favorites below.

Sita loves popping into The Naked Man Cafe for a decaf cappuccino in the morning. On an evening her favorite food spot is Ruchees, every time!” The Indian restaurant is tucked away so be sure not to miss it. It’s BYOB (bring your own booze) so goes hand in hand with a trip to the Co-Op or Off License.

Charles’ favorite is the brand new Sydney’s Bar and Restaurant where you can get lost in a quiet corner or sit by the window overlooking Settle’s historic market place and watch the world go by. Sydney’s is a trendy new little gem in Settle, offering a wide variety of cocktails, beers and wine’s as well as a tapas and a regular menu.

Jessica loves the Boxer & Hound for a coffee meeting. The staff couldn’t be lovelier and they never skimp on the coffee. The Golden Lion is great for upmarket pub grub! The steak, in particular, is delicious and they’ve plenty of pints on offer to go with.

Jayne is a big fan of Car & Kitchen for coffee breaks and a cheeky cake every once in a while. Located above the shop in the market place, we challenge you not to buy something cute and homey on your way in. Jayne is also a big fan of prosecco at Sydney’s, as it feels very cosmopolitan.

Louise also chose’s Car & Kitchen as her favorite coffee shop and stop for a luxurious lunch. The homemade soup is always scrumptious, along with the chunky sandwiches and plenty of cake on offer.

Gillian enjoys some down to earth pub grub and good service at the bustling Talbot Arms. With plenty of booze on offer, it’s a popular spot just off the market place. The Hart’s Head in Giggleswick (our neighboring village) also got a mention for its cosy vibes. The Folly is not only a beautiful building with art on offer, but it’s also a great little coffee shop, that boasts a lovely fireplace and a wide selection of cakes.
