Settle Coronation Pageant Exhibition

If you could turn back time when would you stop?

1953 in Settle was a big year as the town came out on mass to celebrate the Queens Coronation.

One man's photographs captured the festivities in Settle. Now, Settle Stories is working to bring these photos to life and ensure the stories of his generation are saved for the next.

Discover images from the Tom Faulkner collection focusing on the 1953 Settle Coronation Pageant. You never know you might see some familiar faces and it's fascinating to see how Settle has changed over the decades.

This exhibition is part of Settle Stories Tom Faulkner: A Portrait of Stories project, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. Find out more about the project here.
