It's official !
In a recent speech to the Berlin Literary Festival, no less a luminary than American writer Meg Rosoff threw a spanner in the certainties of scientific literalism with the brazen suggestion that the telling of fairy stories to young children might actually be beneficial to their long-term development.
At Settle Stories we take great pleasure in the rewards that our work locally, and in the wider community, yield. We hope we celebrate the whole of that community, in its wonderful, colourful diversity.
“Everybody should have access to great art and storytelling. This is something that's at the core of Settle Stories. We're in a tiny rural town with circa 2,500 people. Yes, this has its advantages. It's a beautiful part of the world. There's a great sense of community. BUT access to the arts here is very limited.
