Xanthe Gresham-Knight has a distinctive, original voice and energetic performance style, whether working in a classical style with traditional epics such as Shahnameh or, in her sequence of eight Arts Council England funded Goddess Tales, combining stories of the divine feminine with personal narrative. She has toured extensively to arts centres and festivals across the UK including the Barbican and South Bank Centres, Soho Theatre, Northern Stage, Cheltenham Literature Festival and internationally to Moscow, Warsaw, Oslo, Copenhagen, Chile, Peru and Argentina. She is a graduate of Oxford University and the Guildhall School of Drama. She has been awarded Storytelling Residencies at Harvard University, The Chelsea Physic Garden and Stoke and Staffordshire Libraries. She was Storytelling Educator for Tate Britain for five years and Lecturer in Drama and Storytelling at the University of East London. She is one of the UK’s leading performance storytellers.
