Christine McMahon has an international reputation, having performed all over Great Britain and Ireland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Costa Rica.
Born to a Lancashire father and a Yorkshire mother, Christine has lived her life on both sides of the crags, “where the rocks of Lancashire and Yorkshire frown in close but harmless proximity.”
Her ready wit and love of traditional English folktales combine with her background in drama and psychology to create wonderful worlds of stories. Not only a performer, Christine has a unique talent for improvisational storymaking, guiding audiences of any age to have the confidence to create stories from their own imaginations.
She is a leading light of Shaggy Dog Storytellers, Hebden Bridge – one of the most successful and long standing storytelling clubs in England.
