Bridget Marsden (violin) and Leif Ottosson (accordion) are two rising young stars of the Swedish folk scene. Together they form a duo with an almost telepathic musical interplay and a unique sense of the figurative and narrative qualities of Nordic folk music. The duo was formed in 2009, after meeting at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. What began as a common interest in really tight traditional Scandinavian tune playing soon landed in an exploration of spacious improvisation and filmic soundscapes. Their debut album ‘Mountain Meeting’, which presents both original and traditional material, was released in 2015 on the Swedish independent label Playing With Music.
