What's On
Century
Multimedia music theatre by Grant Gordon
Friday 7th October 2011 - 8.00 pm

A sensational 10 piece band brings you the story of the 20th
century through music, archive film, vintage photographs and spoken
word in an amazing new show based on true stories.
Grant's grandfather was convinced that they would inherit
the gold that General Gordon had hidden in the 1880s. Grant's father
worked with Lord Mountbatten and was part of the crew that flew him
to India to negotiate freedom for India in 1947. These stories are
woven into Century with the help of photographs and archive footage.
Grant's father was a keen photographer and film maker, worked with
Michael Powell on the film "A Matter of Life and Death", and made a
film about VE day. "Century" uses some of this film and photographs
combined with music and song to create a moving experience which
tells the story of the 20th Century.
