Creative Writing & Mindfulness Retreat - Oct 2018

Creative Writing & Mindfulness Retreat

Discover how using mindfulness can develop your creative writing.

Step out of your everyday and into a place of reflection amongst like minded people in the stunning Yorkshire Dales.

Being mindful means being consciously aware of the present moment and everything it contains. Applying mindfulness to your creative writing will transform your work.

You will learn a new approach. Less frenetic and more focused, this retreat will show you how to maximise your creativity.

Two experienced facilitators will help you find deeper meaning within yourself and the world around you. They will show you how to transport this energy onto paper. Together they will help you draw inspiration from your own intuition, restore communication with yourself and find the confidence to grow beyond your habit energies.

Through learning mindfulness techniques and devoting your weekend to your writing, this retreat will allow you to be more engaged with your senses and the power of your imagination.Your relationship with your writing will have more precision, meaning and depth. You will see the world with a renewed sense of understanding and your capacity to be creative will flourish.

Participant comments from the previous Settle Stories retreats:

Both leaders brought experience, skilfulness, compassion and wondrousness! I loved every session. The meditation practices supported the creative mediations well.

So difficult to identify the 'best bits' - it was all wounderful, as were both the leaders.

Feedback received over three months after a retreat from a participant:

'This retreat has changed my life. I now have clarity and a clear artistic focus which means my writing is going from strength to strength'.
